Our Story

In 2015, most organizations still depended on spreadsheets, disparate databases, and manual reporting methods. Processes around compliance tracking, trend identification, and informed decision-making were complicated. The concept for the EHS-Dashboard™ was born out of firsthand difficulty managing EHS data using these inadequate tools.

Our team met the moment by developing a solution that streamlines complex processes and centralizes EHS and Sustainability data into a unified, user-friendly platform. Consulting and collaborating with our industry colleagues enabled us to design the EHS-Dashboard™ to meet the specific requirements of contemporary EHS, ESG, and Sustainability programs. The end result was the EHS-Dashboard™, software featuring automated data collection, real-time analytics, customized dashboards, and seamless integration.

Since its introduction, the EHS-Dashboard™ has become indispensable for companies aiming to optimize operations, boost corporate sustainability, and maintain long-term regulatory compliance. John Baycroft

Chief Executive Officer

John Baycroft is a seasoned technology and product leader with over a decade of experience driving innovation at the intersection of software and environmental engineering. As the Chief Executive & Technical Officer of Higher Elevation Software, LLC, he leads with a strategic vision that blends technical excellence with sustainable, scalable software solutions tailored to customer needs.

With expertise in both software architecture and environmental engineering, John has built his career on solving complex technical challenges with practical business solutions. He is deeply invested in assembling high-performing teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and leveraging technology to create meaningful, lasting impact.

John holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from Suffolk University. When he’s not at his computer, he enjoys playing music, fixing things, and spending time with family and friends.

If you had to switch jobs for a day, what would you do?
I'd operate heavy machinery. There’s something about working with powerful equipment that sounds both challenging and rewarding.

Alexis Dallaportas

Chief Product Officer

Alexis Dallaportas brings over 20 years of experience in environmental consulting, project management, and customer success to her role as Chief Product & Operating Officer at Higher Elevation Software, LLC.

Now focused on driving product innovation and operational strategy, she applies her deep understanding of EHS, ESG, and Sustainability challenges to develop solutions that help businesses improve program management while achieving growth.

Alexis holds a BA/MA in Environmental Science & Policy from Clark University and holds an MSM from her alma mater as well.

Outside of work, Alexis enjoys gardening, where she finds creativity and balance in nurturing her backyard garden, and traveling, which fuels her curiosity and appreciation for different cultures and landscapes.

If you had to switch jobs for a day, what would you do?
I’d be a landscape architect. I love the idea of designing outdoor spaces that people can enjoy, and it connects perfectly with my passion for gardening and spending time outside.

What’s in your mug, Alexis?
Water! I’m basically like a plant — I wilt without it. Coffee and I parted ways a while back, and now water keeps me feeling clear-headed and energized. Plus, it’s the simplest healthy habit I can stick with every day!

John Pepsisa

Lead Software Engineer

John Pespisa is an experienced Software Engineer specializing in Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL. John’s strong background in designing and optimizing scalable web applications and high-performance systems that drive business growth can be felt in every aspect of the EHS‑Dashboard™.

John holds a BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Fitchburg State University. Passionate about clean code and best practices, John has played a key role in architecting backend solutions, improving database performance, and ensuring robust API integrations. His expertise spans from database optimization and query tuning to designing RESTful APIs that power seamless user experiences.

Outside of work, John enjoys the thrill of track days, spending quality time with friends, and immersing himself in tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons, where he embraces the challenges and camaraderie of each experience.

If you had to switch jobs for a day, what would you do?
I’d try crop dusting or flying a plane in general. It combines my interest in biology and the outdoors with the thrill of being in the air.

Black coffee, dark roast. That code’s not going to write itself.

Keith Hubert

Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer Keith Hubert is dedicated to creating intuitive user experiences. With a background in Art and Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, he brings a unique blend of creativity and human-centered design to UI/UX development.

Before transitioning into software engineering, Keith worked in the mental health field, an experience that shaped his empathetic, user-focused approach to problem-solving. Now he focuses on building practical, user-friendly platforms that simplify complicated tasks.

Outside of work, Keith enjoys quality time playing with his daughters and dog, tending to his garden, and enjoying a slow afternoon by the grill.

If you had to switch jobs for a day, what would you do?
I'd drive a snowplow. Listening to music while clearing snow-covered roads that no one else can travel sounds like fun to me.

Dunkin’ Donuts large cold brew with whole milk and caramel. It’s a New England classic!
